L' Opéra National of Paris has deposited a " contest" for
the construction of a restaurant in the same buildings of the
Palais Garnier, without specifying the exact place of this
new establishment. The room envisaged makes
approximately 500 m ², and a terrace of 560 m ² . It is
specified in the contest laws that " the restaurant will have
to remain open sufficiently late the evenings of spectacles to
be able to install the spectators who will exit from the
performances." In addition, " the awaited services will have
to be centered around a restoration of quality (hot and
relatively sophisticated dishes) " .
The rumours say it is going to be called Le Fantome de
l'Opera restaurant.
According to the Opera staff, the restaurant will be created
in front of the new Opera boutique.
