Sandra - What has meant for your artistic career being part of the Phantom of the Opera, Webber's musical?
Michael - It's great to be a part of Phantom Ot The Opera history. It's a great role and a privilege to sing such lovely songs every night.
Sandra - What scene/song of the Phantom musical is your favourite and why.
Michael - Favourite scene is final lair as it's so emotionally charged and requires 100% energy throughout the whole scene!
Sandra - What are some of the aspects you have brought into your interpretation of the Raoul?
Michael - I'm made Raoul strong and full of passion. He can often be played wet!
Sandra - Can you tell us a good anecdote you remember playing Raoul's role?
Michael - In 2nd Managers scene Christine accidentally ripped open my shirt! She laughed through the rest of the scene. Very funny.
Sandra - What is it, in your opinion, that makes the show so appealing?
Michael - The show has everything. Every passionate tragic emotion you can think of is in the show. Love, unrequited love, anger, frustration, joy, pain, etc etc etc.
Sandra - What did you find most difficult to prepare for your role? Did you read any book or see any movie?
Michael - Nothing was difficult in preparing for the role. As an actor you learn to read scripts well and be able to dicipher the character immediately. It was easy and lots of fun.
Sandra - What is your opinion about your character, Raoul, and the other two main characters, the Phantom and Christine?
Michael - Raoul is foolish, Christine is naive and the Phantom is tragic.
Sandra - You have been in great musicals like the Phantom of the Opera, Mamma Mia!, Miss Saigon, My Fair Lady..., what is the role you would like to play some day?
Michael - I enjoy playing all sorts of different roles. I would love to play Jack Bauer in 24 the musical!!!!!!!
Sandra - What would you say to your fans?
Michael - Thank you for your wonderful support and your kind words. You make my job even more amazing than it already is!
